Cancellation Policy

What to expect if a confirmed journey needs to change — clearly laid out, so you can book with confidence.

Even the most carefully designed journey can be overtaken by life. This policy sets out what happens if you need to cancel or amend a confirmed booking, and what you can expect from us in return. Please read it alongside our Terms & Conditions and your booking confirmation — together, they form your agreement with us.

Because each journey is designed individually, deposits and bookings are committed to hotels, guides, and partners on your behalf the moment you confirm. Our cancellation charges reflect those real commitments rather than any penalty.

If you cancel

Charges are calculated from the date we receive your written notice, as a percentage of the total trip cost:

  • 60+ days before departureLoss of deposit
  • 30–59 days before departure50% of total cost
  • 15–29 days before departure75% of total cost
  • Under 15 days before departure100% of total cost

Deposits are non-refundable, as they hold the bookings and commitments made specifically for your journey.

If we cancel

Should we ever need to cancel a confirmed journey for reasons within our control, you’ll receive a full refund of what you’ve paid, or the option to rebook for a later date — whichever you prefer. This doesn’t extend to cancellations caused by events beyond our control (see Force Majeure below).

Changes and amendments

We’re glad to adjust a confirmed journey wherever we can. Changes made well ahead of departure often cost little or nothing; those made closer in may carry supplier fees, which we’ll always confirm with you first. Nothing that adds a cost is ever actioned without your say-so.

Force majeure

Neither you nor we are liable for cancellations or changes driven by events beyond reasonable control — natural disasters, severe weather, unrest, government action, pandemic, or transport disruption among them. Where these affect your journey, we’ll work with you in good faith on rebooking or credit, within the policies of the hotels, airlines, and partners involved.

Travel insurance

Because cancellation charges can be significant, comprehensive travel insurance — covering cancellation, curtailment, medical emergencies, and evacuation — is required for every journey we design.

We’d encourage you to arrange it the moment your booking is confirmed, so you’re covered from day one.

How to cancel or amend

All cancellations and amendments must reach us in writing. Your request takes effect on the date we receive it.
